“ Got a pick up order and wow! Such flavor Ordered the chicken with rice and red beans BEST RED BEANS EVER! Mofongo was on point Ladies were really nice Definitely coming back ”
“ We celebrated my sister birthday here and it was a great time. On Saturday night they have live music which is a good time, but its a small spot so the music for me was really loud. My ears were hurting when I left. The food was good. We were a big party and there were no complaints from anyone. The drinks were also really good. The sangria was delicious. You want to dance then come have dinner and stay for the music. ”
“ Feeling nostalgic Had a great time! Food was amazing I got the classic "La Bandera"! I'll be back for more (want to try the mondongo) Mami's favorite! It was very special to be with mi gente Latina nice mix including Dominicanos, Cubanos y Boricuas. It was a whole vibe. Loved everything about Puritas, just like back home with little kids at family restaurant that looked like me. I came to America a long time ago and it really felt like back home. And music of course! Live music was on point and dancing . Family friendly until later dinner times ! I miss DR and mami Thank you for the hospitality Very appreciate and wonderful staff! Muchas gracias JB ”
“ A little disappointed to only have found out about this place recently. As soon as I heard about this Dominican Restaurant, I had to go right away. They are centrally located in East Hollywood and easy to find. They are right across from Broward College Campus East. I ordered the Steak w/onions with rice & beans and salad. My date ordered the oxtail w/rice & beans and tostones. Both were very good! We also ordered the naranja shake which was good. Nice laid back atmosphere with seating option in the sunroom area (a lot of light), tables more inside and at the bar. The service was quick and friendly. A nice plus is they have a DJ on certain days. If you're looking for tasty, authentic Dominican Food at a reasonable price, this is your spot. ”
“ I haven't been there in about six years, but the place looks great. The food was amazing and my service/host was top notch We ordered Mofongo con chicharrón de Pollo was amazing and Arron con gandules great ”
“ Great hidden gem in east Pines. Pretty authentic Dominican food. The tres golpes was great. Fried cheese, fried salami, two eggs and mangu. Clean, good service and no English. ”
“ Delicious dominican food, every bite had a lot flavor, lovely presentation and very tasty dishes. The restaurant decoration is very unique but the overall atmosphere is exorbitant. Loud music was played when we arrived. After we sat we were asked if we were ready to order, the menu is easy to understand. We ordered two Mofongos. One with pork and the other one with shrimp on the side. The Mofongo presentation was great and the flavor was excellent. The meat was tender and the cheese was melted. The picada was phenomenal and the two Passionfruit juices were refreshing. The total with tip was ($98) We asked for the deserts and there were only two choices. We got the batata coconut and even thought we didn't like it, or eat it we still got charged for it. Unfortunately the expensive price of our delicious meal doesn't compensate the average customer service. First and most no water upon arrival, dirty dishes and overcharged for sausage when we told the server for a commendation and she didn't mention she was going to charges us more for something we didn't order. That would explain why the restaurant had only one customer eating and everyone taking food to go. I sincerely hope the service improves because the meals were delightful and savory! ”
